Priya Anjali Rai was born on December 25, 1977, in New Delhi, India. She was adopted by an American family when she was about two years old and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Rai later moved to the United States with her adoptive parents and grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis. As a young adult she enrolled at Arizona State University, where she studied marketing before choosing to pursue a career in modeling and entertainment.
Priya Rai started her professional journey as a fashion and swimwear model. During her early adult years she also worked as a dancer, spending more than a decade performing in clubs before she transitioned into film work. Her background in modeling and performance arts helped her build confidence and presence in front of the camera, setting the stage for her later work in the entertainment world.
Rai began performing in adult films in 2007 at the age of 29. Over the course of her career she appeared in numerous productions for a variety of well‑known studios and became known for her bold screen presence. Priya built a strong fan base, especially among viewers attracted to her unique look and charisma. She also created her own online platform to connect with fans and expand her reach beyond traditional film roles.
During her time in the industry Priya received professional recognition for her work. In 2009 she won the AVN Award for Best All‑Girl Group Scene for her performance in the title “Cheerleaders,” an achievement that reflected her popularity and respected standing among her peers in the industry at that time.
After several years of adult film work, Priya began exploring opportunities outside that niche. In 2013 she announced her retirement from adult films to focus on mainstream projects and her personal life. Around that time she also became engaged to a businessman and expressed excitement about diversifying her career beyond her earlier work. In addition to adult productions, Rai appeared in the horror film “Isis Rising: Curse of the Lady Mummy,” showing her interest in broader acting roles.
